Visit the villages of Bedar, Sorbas, Nijar and Tabernas

Through Bédar small white village perched in the mountains that can be seen from Mojacar, where you can admire its narrow streets, shady flower, its pretty brightly painted doors in the Andalusian style, you can reach Sorbas. This city is famous for its caves which can be visited all year. Indeed, the Almeria coast has many natural caves sometimes decorated (in Cuevas del Almanzora few families have even found residence). Sorbas is located in the Natural Park of Karst Yesos where limestone is most impressive, hence the originedes caves. Also if you love nature and tranquility, a stroll along the river "Rio Aguas" below the village of Los Molinos del Rio Aguas you will discover a beautiful landscape where rocks of quartz mix with bamboos and the surrounding flora.

To join Nijar, the ideal is to cross the mountains of the Sierra de Alhamilla through the charming town of Lucainena de las Torres old mining town that deserves a little break for the former treatment center iron ore.

35km you will arrive at Sorbas Nijar the famous pottery village. The main street of the city flows to stores and manufacturers of pottery but also Jarapas, the famous traditional carpets or blankets woven cotton.

Another trip is possible from Sorbas, this is the desert of Tabernas. This is the largest and most majestic desert area of ​​Europe which have served the arid landscapes of scene since the 50s at many westerns like "The Magnificent Seven" by John Sturges in 1960 and the famous spaghetti westerns of Sergio Leone "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" in 1966 and "Once Upon a Time in the West" filmed in 1968 (imagine yourself spirit of the famous air whistle harmonica on the station platform). Sites "Texas Hollywood" or "Fort Bravo" keep film activity while those of "Mini Hollywood" and "Western Leone" became the theme parks or stunt relive the legend of the Wild West, it should know by now to keep her child's soul.

The ruined castle of Tabernas offer great views over the desert in the distance and the impressive mountain scenery overlooking the city. Queen Isabella slept in the castle during the storming of the city of Almeria held by the Moors ..
